Underwater Photography – Nudibranchs

Nudibranchs, also know as sea slugs.  As you can see by the photographs in the gallery below, nudibranchs are popular with underwater photographers, and divers, due to their amazing range of colour, patterns, shapes, and strangely cute form. The word “nudibranch” comes from the Latin nudus, naked, and the Greek, brankhia, gills. There are more than 3,000 known nudibranch species, and scientists estimate there are another 3,000 yet to be discovered.
